Meet Dr. Kennie Kwok of San Diego Periodontics & Implant Dentistry
Dr. Kennie Kwok grew up in Los Angeles and attended University of California, San Diego, where he earned a dual degree in Bio engineering (ABET) and Biochemistry. He furthered his education at the Boston University Goldman School of Dental Medicine, where he obtained his Doctorate of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree and graduated Magna Cum Laude. Deciding to further hone his general dental skills, he continued his dental education as a General Practice Resident at NYU Lutheran Medical Center. Aside from learning how to perform third molar extractions, molar endodontics, and treating medically compromised patients as a General Practice resident, Dr. Kwok developed a profound interest in periodontology. Therefore he decided to commit another three years to pursue his Certificate in Periodontology at NYU Lutheran Medical Center where he served as Chief Resident.
After he finished his training, Dr. Kwok’s love for California brought him back to Southern California, where he worked as an associate periodontist. Since he wanted to offer his patients with the latest and most minimally invasive periodontal techniques, he furthered his education by earning certifications in the Chao Pinhole gum rejuvenation technique and in the LANAP (laser assisted new attachment procedure) protocol.
Dr. Kwok deems patient care and comfort to be paramount in the dental office. He carefully listens to his patient’s needs and formulates a comprehensive treatment plan to accommodate their goals and desires. Dr. Kwok loves to educate his patients with dental knowledge so that they may be better informed about their smile and oral health.
Dr. Kwok is very committed to both his patients and the dental community. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology (ABP), International Team for Implantology, American Dental Association, California Dental Association, and the San Diego County Dental Society. He is also a voluntary Clinical Instructor with the UCSD Pre-Dental Society and Free Dental Clinics.
In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family, traveling to new places, trying out new restaurants, playing basketball, enjoying the great outdoors, and relaxing at the beach.
